ORB may be a small business, but we are constantly busy with some very big projects. Here are some of the big ones that we are finishing up this year.

Project included in-ground pool design, hardscape, landscape, site electrical engineering, all civil engineering, all engineering drawings, permitting services, tree removal permit, traffic engineering and construction administration.

Deseo Grande Apartments, Orlando Florida: Third-party construction administration services for a property is located in Orlando, Florida. Included two lots totaling approximately 89.26 acres within the center. The existing structure is a ± 700,000 gross square foot enclosed mall with approximately 4,200 parking spaces, landscaped areas and stormwater retention pond. These activity centers are intended for locations where arterials and four lane collectors and mass transit service are available, providing access to other metropolitan areas. ORB provided construction administration services for the civil, traffic and landscape architecture design for the development of approximately 368 apartments with structured parking and amenities on a ±5 acre parcel. The south entrance to the mall was realigned to improve access apartment parcel and provide a larger development area. The design of inner ring road along the north boundary of the apartment parcel was enhanced to accommodate the proposed residential uses.

Aercon Industrial Plant, Haines City Florida: Engineering drawings for permit and construction. This facility underwent a renovation/expansion design and reconstruction for the RTW4 tool foundations. In the manufacturing plant, a foundation and structural redesign, along with construction, will take place to support the enhanced manufacturing process. An expansion also was added to the dry cutting building in order to support additional tooling equipment. The mezzanine in the main plant needed to be reconfigured to support the new plant equipment layout and for life safety reasons.  Also, a fourth autoclave track was laid.

Eli Whitt Historical Building, Downtown Lakeland Florida: Structural Engineering design and drawings for multiple tenant build-out improvements, design to include new windows, doors, roof, and floor framing/new load bearing interior walls at interior of 2-story structure.  Drawings to construct the Lobby area along with an elevator.
