Overview

With licensed building inspectors as well as professional and structural engineers on staff, we offer building inspection services for new and existing construction of any size and type. Our engineers have vast experience evaluating residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. From monitoring a construction process to using forensic methods to determine cause of damage, ORB's engineering staff has the knowledge and expertise to cover all your inspection needs.


In addition to structural inspections, we also offer inspections for fire, wind, water, termite, settlement, vehicle impact, hurricane damage and preventative maintenance solutions. We are familiar with stucco and EIFS systems and residential mechanical-electrical-plumbing systems. ORB inspections can assist with finding construction defects, building code evaluations, cause and origin investigations, failure analysis and evaluation, and litigation and expert witness support. 
Upon completion of inspections, a report detailing all inspections for a project will be generated, signed and sealed and available for submittal to the owner, general contractor and governing agency. Here is a full list of inspection services offered: 

Threshold inspection services requiring a licensed Special Inspector in the state of Florida. Includes including hotels, sport stadiums, warehouses, churches, etc.

Forensic investigations and property insurance inspections including evaluation of existing structures with damage caused by fire, wind, water, termite, hail, and vehicle impact.

Claim-driven construction defect and building code evaluations.

Buying/Selling Home Inspections. Offers peace of mind to both buyers and sellers while certifying the structural integrity of the house.

Litigation and expert witness support. Expert review of engineering and construction documents in order to provide a certified opinion from a professional engineer.

Evaluation of existing structural components and systems for strength and serviceability.

Balcony, Railing, and Stair Inspections – Florida requires that all public lodging establishments that are three (3) stories or more in height be inspected every three years.
